A Lifetime of Creativity
With a growing local and international fan base, the late Cape Town artist Marelize has become one of the newer artists to follow. Her work is bold, and brave and captures the colors and emotions of the artist perfectly.

Her now extremely limited original work is ideal for the discerning collector, yet when in limited-edition print, they work wonders in larger spaces, be it a private house or an office environment.
She re-discovered her passion for art after years of pursuing other relevant interests and taking time out to raise her 3 lovely girls (now young ladies). Her radiant body of work is strongly centered around color and depth as she used many layers of resin to render her unique textured yet glass-like surfaces. Marelize’s images refer to the colors and patterns that caught her attention at those special times in her day and life. Combined with layers of emotion that she cleverly worked into the medium; these works represent her artistic response to this. Her works are complex in their expertly applied colors. The way Marelize moved and manipulated the resin allowed her to produce images that combine layers of vivacious colors to create encompassing pieces.
From these bold originals, one gets striking prints and stretched canvas for larger home and/or office walls.
